Dallas, TX and Fairfield, NJ, April 13, 2010—DG FastChannel (www.dgfastchannel.com) and CoreMedia Systems, Inc. (www.coremedia-systems.com) announced today that they will partner to introduce automated order entry and trafficking processes dedicated to the direct response TV industry by the second quarter of 2010. This industry-first, full-service automation will streamline advertising delivery to broadcast stations in an industry that primarily uses manual dub and ship methods.
The partnership links DG FastChannel’s SpotCentral solution, an intuitive web-based order entry and digital asset management system, with CoreMedia’s CoreDirect, the industry’s most widely used direct response media management software. By combining each entity’s expertise, Direct Response advertisers can greatly enhance the ease of managing assets, which can ultimately translate into incremental revenue opportunities for the broadcast community.
As a result, CoreDirect users will be able to send distribution orders and traffic instructions digitally to SpotCentral without leaving the CoreDirect system. Once the creative and traffic instructions are received by a television station via SpotCentral, proof-of-delivery (POD) will automatically be posted back to CoreDirect’s traffic system. The process not only replaces manual order and traffic entry by fax or email, but creates a greener and more secure way to distribute direct response advertisements to broadcast stations.
“DG FastChannel has built a better way to service the direct response industry by providing this full-service solution,” said Neil Nguyen, President and COO, DG FastChannel. “We saw an opportunity to expand on the popularity of electronic, file-based spot delivery and extended it to the direct response market through our project with CoreMedia, effectively changing the way the industry does business.”
Glenn DeKraker, CEO, CoreMedia said, “The synergies created by pairing CoreDirect with DG FastChannel’s SpotCentral will streamline the traffic processes at a time where productivity is a key metric for our clients. This relationship is an extension of Core’s open philosophy of integrating with the data and systems our clients need.”
According to Ronald C. Pruett, Jr., CEO of Mercury Media, the largest independent direct response media agency in the U.S. and client of both DG FastChannel and CoreMedia, the partnership “provides the direct response industry with the first integrated and automated proof-of-delivery process, and in turn, real-time media tracking and analysis. Mercury Media realizes the efficiency of a streamlined traffic entry solution and is eager to enjoy the benefits of this project.” |
